The Entrepreneur Business Leaders Awards awarded Entrepreneur of the Year Award to Christina Domecq, CEO of Spinvox. She shared her point of view on women’s roles in business business with CNBC.

She says some interesting things about being an entrepreneur needs to be promoted as a career choice and the role of Government in promoting this.

“As a business society we have an obligation to help other entrepreneurs”… we should be ”creating a society where it isn’t so lonely to start a business”

Yesterday I was at Scottish Business in the Community’s ” Scotland’s Got Talent ” Summit in the Hub, Edinburgh. 150 people talking about engaging with a new market f for many of them with regard to employment : lone parents, long term unemployed, disabled people

Trouble is that most participants were big companies ; SMEs not thick on the ground

However, barriers to employment of this type among companies seem to start in people’s minds and their perceptions ; the event went a long way to breaking down the barriers
